Would one of the blog czars post this please? Then remove it from Norman's obituary entry comments? thanks!

Rynda Neff Carlis just found a treasure in her attic. A 33-1/3 rpm recording of the Northfield High School Stage Band, directed by James Anderson. Side 1 includes Solitude with solos by Neil Tuma, Rick Cornell and Steve Anderson; and Little Brown Jug. Side 2 has Jalousie and Tea for Two with a Steve Solum guitar solo. The record jacket is autographed by 12 band members: Rick C, Craig J, Mike B, John T, Steve A, Becky R, Rolf S, Gary A, Neil T, Bob S, Steve S and Rick A.

Saw this picture last week in Maggie Lee's column in the northfield news. Doesn't seem possible that it was 50 years ago.

I had this clipping for many years. Who am I kidding? I kept the letters for
a long time. I missed the first two months of school that year, and was so
happy to get back to Washington School and finally begin 6th grade in Mr.
Kegler's class.

Sounds like a great time. Point of clarification: I'm younger than Dick with a birthday of May 21, 1948 so I have that 60th birthday to look forward to you.

What a wonderful biographical history of Herman. He is such a great person and it is nice to know that others recognize this too.
